Developer Voofoo Studios, best known for their work on Hustle Kings, plans on bringing two classic board games to PS4 tomorrow. Backgammon Blitz will be available on PS4, PS3, and Vita for $7.99. Yes, this is the "first ever recreation" of the game for modern consoles, and it includes a new Blitz arcade mode, one which remixes the classic game.

But what if you don't know how to play backgammon? A trial version will be offered that will teach the rules, while also offering a preview of the Blitz mode.

In addition, Pure Chess is being updated on PS4. Already available on PS3, the upcoming PS4 version features new textures, contact shadows, and "ultra-realistic" depth of field. There's also a "massively improved custom networking system," which should make the next-gen version all the more definitive. It'll be available for $7.99, or as a "Complete Bundle" for $14.99.

Well, everyone always talks about how great old-school games are. It doesn't get much older than this.
