PS4 adds rarity info to PSN trophies

PS4 adds one new feature to the trophy-collection mix, however: you can see how rare they are.

Yes, you'll be able to continue collecting digital trophies when you move your PlayStation Network account to PS4. All your trophies from PS3 and Vita will remain intact, and you'll be able to browse through them even on Sony's next-gen console. PS4 adds one new feature to the trophy-collection mix, however: you can see how rare they are.

In a separate column next to when you unlock the trophy, you'll see the percentage of players on PSN that have been able to unlock a trophy. This should be helpful for developers too, when they discover that only 0.1% of you ever unlocked their seemingly-easy Bronze trophy.

That's actually a good feature to encourage gamers to hold onto games and chase some of the more elusive achievements. In a way it reminds me of the Walking Dead and how it would compare your choices to other players at the end of a chapter.

I'm glad. Steam has had this for as long as I can remember for their achievement system. I was wondering when the consoles would do this as well.

They just released the Playstation iPhone app that includes a completely new UI and the rarity info.

It's almost impossible to find in the AppStore, though, because the dummies included a special character in their app name:

I've been wondering if there were ever gonna have a legit app. The main features are great but really annoying that half of the app is an app and the other just opens mobile version of their site in Safari. I hate when it switches back and forth.
