Conker's Bad Fur Day designer working on project for Wii U and 3DS

Conker's Bad Fur Day designer (and voice) has announced a Wii U and 3DS platformer, The Legend of Rusty Pup. It's aiming for a 2014 release.

Conker's Bad Fur Day designer (and Conker voice) Chris Seavor is working on a downloadable game for Wii U and 3DS, titled "The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup." He and ex-Rare employee Shawn Pile formed the indie studio Gory Detail, and this will be its second game after the iOS title Parashoot Stan.

Seavor told Nintendo Life (via Joystiq) that Rusty Pup is meant to be a "serious and adult story" with the trappings of a 2D platformer. At least, as serious and adult as one can expect from a game about a robotic dog.

His commentary on the gameplay itself is fairly vague: "The game has a core gameplay mechanic - and when I say mechanic I mean something you do which will effect something else in the gameworld - which we can't say because it will give so much away!" Gory Detail is aiming for a late 2014 release of the game.
