The Amazing Spider-Man coming to Wii U on March 5

The Amazing Spider-Man is coming to Wii U on March 5, Activision has announced. It will sport all of the released DLC packs, and be playable off-screen with the GamePad.

Activision announced today that it will be releasing an "Ultimate Edition" of The Amazing Spider-Man for Wii U on March 5. It will cost $39.99. The Wii U version will pack all of the downloadable content packs, along with a few features that take advantage of the Wii U's capabilities.

The GamePad will serve as Spider-Man's in-game cell phone (i.e. game menu), which keeps track of challenges and upgrades, and houses the city map. You can also play the game on the GamePad itself in off-screen mode. The included DLC packs include the Stan Lee Adventure Pack, Lizard Rampage Pack, Rhino Challenge, Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack, and a few extra Spidey suits.

The game received a generally positive reception when it released on other consoles as a tie-in to last summer's movie. If you missed it then and need a web-slinging fix, the Wii U version may be the way to go.
