Darksiders 2: Abyssal Forge DLC announced

It's a hard job, being Death, as there are always more people dying to deal with, especially if you go around whacking them with your scythe. Death's troubles in Darksiders II aren't over yet, as THQ today announced it'll release a second sizeable helping of downloadable content next week. 'Abyssal Forge' will see the horseman looking into the eponymous forge, which has been used to construct an army that "threatens all creation." That's probably bad.

Abyssal Forge goes down in the swampy new Shadow Lands area, with two more dungeons, new enemies, secrets, and legendary loot for your playing pleasure. THQ claims it's "tailored towards the most competent Darksiders 2 players." The DLC is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 30, just in time for a spooky Halloween spent anti-socially playing macabre video games. It'll cost $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points).

I am really starting to believe it is best to wait a few months after release to get the full game. I have such a hard time loading up an older game just to play new content after the game is finished. At least in the old days, expansions took place after the story was completed, and I felt like I got more out of the game.

I just don't have the will power to not buy new releases.
