XCOM: Enemy Unknown PC patch enables 1080p movies

If you were one of the unlucky ones that could only get those really cool XCOM: Enemy Unknown movies in 720p instead of 1080p, fear not, human, as the new patch makes 1080p movies the standard for PC.

The patch, which was released through Steam, fixes an issue that had forced some players to try to improvise by eliminating the 720p videos on their hard drives and renaming the 1080p movies files as the 720p ones. It also fixes the floating hair problem where hair could be seen on top of fog. The game also got some other tweaks, including multiplayer chat.

If you aren't sure what all the fuss is about, you can check out Steve's review. Spoiler: He liked it. Or, just watch the launch trailer below.
