If Shacknews Game of the Year runner-up Deus Ex: Human Revolution put you in the mood for more cyborg-dystopian RPG action, good news. You'll probably have a chance to play the original Deus Ex on your PlayStation 3 soon. The European board PEGI has issued a rating for "Deus Ex" on the system, most likely as a PS2 classic.

Siliconera notes that the rated game is rated 16 and up, while Human Revolution is rated 18 and up in the region. The PlayStation 2 re-release of Deus Ex was subtitled "The Conspiracy," and its generally positive reception showed the game making a solid transition to consoles.

If it is indeed the PS2 version coming to the PS3, I have one suggestion: buy the PC version from gog.com

Although it wasn't a BAD port, the PC version is still better, and there are mods out there to improve compatibility with modern machines.

GOG or steam! I got it from steam. Use this guide to get it looking really good:

There is option of dx9 or dx10 renderer, use dx9 because that lets you run the ENB lighting mod. Only annoying thing is you have to press shift+12 every time you start the game up to activate ENB. But it's worth it.

^^^^ If the PS3 version is indeed a straight port and not a HD remake, do this, buy the PC game from gog.com or Steam.

There are various tools you can search and download to greatly improve the graphics of the original Deus Ex on PC as well.
