Warner Bros Interactive and TT Games announced another Lego title today, this time a follow-up to Lego Batman. But instead of merely starring the blocky caped crusader, Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will crack open the DC Comics canon and feature all manner of classic characters, like Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern.

The game will also rope in villains from other series, like Lex Luthor. Given the history of cameos in Lego games, we can probably assume plenty of other DC characters will show up too. Batman will still be the focus, though, as the game is set in Gotham. Many of Batman's wonderful toys will make an appearance, like the Batmobile, Batwing, and a variety of special Bat-suits.

Like many of the Lego games, you'll be able to find it on just about any platform: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, DS, 3DS, and PlayStation Vita. The announcement promises that the game will be available "beginning" this summer, which sounds like some platform versions may come later than others.

Not coincidentally, this game compliments a new Lego toy line featuring various DC superheroes.

"Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes builds upon the action and cooperative gameplay experience established in our best-selling LEGO video game to date, LEGO Batman: The Videogame," said TT Games managing director Tom Stone, in the announcement. "We're offering fans a rich and expansive Gotham City environment filled with cool characters, great customization options and plenty of surprises that families, young gamers and DC Universe fans can enjoy together."
