Uncharted 3 'Flashback Map Pack' announced

The first map pack for Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode is the "Flashback Map Pack #1," which features two maps from UC2.

There's going to be a lot of DLC for Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode. While the initial offerings have been limited to various skins, Naughty Dog has unveiled the first significant expansion for the mode. The first map pack for the online mode is the "Flashback Map Pack #1." While Naughty Dog hasn't detailed the contents of the DLC quite yet, the first screenshots give us a pretty good idea on what to expect. The title should make it clear: these maps are "flashbacks" from the previous Uncharted games, namely the multiplayer mode featured in Uncharted 2. The numeric assignment suggests that we'll probably see multiple expansions featuring UC2's maps. The two maps announced so far are The Cave and The Fort. While the layout appears similar to the original maps, the mood is completely different. The original Cave map was set in ice, whereas the Uncharted 3 incarnation seems to be taken over by flora. A moody, atmospheric fog seems to have overtaken the newly redesigned Fort map.

No price or release date has been set yet for the DLC.

After getting to chapter 14 on Hard, I just moved it down to Normal and finished the rest all in one sitting. It's a very good game, but I even doubt it reaches the bar set by the second.

The aiming issues were the primary reason for my sourness, but there were other, imo, unfortunate design flaws with the story and ending that didn't really deliver the payoff I expected. Lengthy QTE included. I find repeated tapping of buttons over and over again to be fairly irresponsible for my overworked wrists...

Still, some tremendous set pieces and event design too, it's a worthy addition to the series and still required playing for fans of the series. Which... everyone should still be anyhow haha.

Not sure why I felt the need to write so much :)

are people actually going to play UC3 multiplayer enough to justify getting map packs?

Personally I only really enjoy the co-op portions but it doesn't seem like they really did them well either. UC3 has been pretty disappointing for me.
