Sony Online Entertainment announced a hefty helping of release dates and prices for some of its anticipated upcoming downloadable titles today. Rochard, Payday: The Heist, and Sideway: New York will all drop in late September and early October, making for a nicely packed fall schedule.
Rochard is up first on September 27, for $9.99 on the PlayStation 3. The game stars an ultra-manly astro-miner who uses his tools to take on space pirates who have come to claim an alien artifact dug up by Rochard's crew. The game itself centers on gravity manipulation platforming puzzles.
Next is Payday: The Heist, a four-player co-op title in which players work together to rob banks and hijack armored cars. It's coming to both PC and PlayStation 3 on October 4, with DLC to follow later this year. You can pre-order it starting September 20 to get a static theme. Payday is easily the most expensive of the set at $19.99, but you can get it for free on PS3 by snagging each of the PSN Play games.
Finally, Sideway: New York hits the PS3 on October 11 for $9.99. The platformer bends the 2D playing space around 3D objects, bringing some interesting puzzle mechanics into the mix.
