Sega has announced it will be publishing a third round of classic games, with the Vintage Collection 3. This set is coming to PlayStation Network and Wii Virtual Console in late 2011 and early 2012, and brings back some games from the Genesis and Master System eras.

The most significant piece for retro-watchers is a newly translated version of Wonder Boy in Monster World IV, which has never been officially localized before. Other titles include Revenge of Shinobi, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, and Wonder Boy in Monster World from the Genesis, plus Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Super Hang-On from the Master System.

Previous Vintage Collections have included games like Gunstar Heroes and Comix Zone. The Vintage Collection 2 came to Xbox 360 as well, but this particular set seems destined only for PS3 and Wii.

Without the stationary fiberglass motorcycle rump, and being too little and weak to properly ride it, Super Hang-On just isn't the same for me. But I'll dig on some Alex Kidd.

Why no 360 love??? I'll probably only download Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy on my Wii anyway but it just seems weird that they wouldn't make it available on the 360 as well.

I can not wait to give Sega money for Monster World IV finally. It's taken ya long enough, Sega. :(
