I had a very relaxing weekend, but apparently it's over. I need breakfast. Starting work on server-side inventory today.

He's had a few Twatters today, nothing super informative though. -

Hey who wants to start a game of RISK? http://pixeltrap.net/minecraft/TownyMap.png
This is a map I made on the weekend, showing all of the claimed territory on the server so far. Should help any new players find somewhere to build, and prevent some territory disputes :)
(N.B. both the render and the territory map are a few days old at this point, so if you've changed anything over the weekend it probably won't show. It's fairly manual and clunky at the moment, but if people are interested I could probably update these maps on a weekly basis or something.) -

Shadowdane: Snow on your server:
http://shadowdane.shackspace.com/Minecraft/ShackDC-Gmap/index.html?x=500&y=72&z=3980&zoom=7
multisync found it, it can exist, it just appears to be exceptionally rare. Perhaps increasing the percentage some more, or change the temperature, aridness, or altitude bias points, will yield more. Hope is not lost on snow.-
the problem is I changed that but it seems to only use the values I had set when I created the world, the new values don't seem to take effect at all.
These are the values I set for the Biome settings:
biomeSize:5.0
minMoisture:0.0
maxMoisture:1.0
minTemperature:0.0
maxTemperature:1.0
snowThreshold:0.7
iceThreshold:0.65
Using these values should produce snow. There is no settings for aridness or altitude bias.

You can fake some furniture (chairs, beds, and planter boxes are easy, for example)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zkh1yseKwew
...but really Notch just needs to add craftable furniture in at some point. He's said he'll do it eventually, I'd say it's Beta material personally. -

Citizens of Lamperia / WatchWorld:
I have extended my cart tracks to your borders. I can see where a tunnel leading to the cart tracks leaves the southern edge of a mountain in WatchWorld.
Are yo interested in connecting the tracks up?
What tech do your tracks use?
My tracks are 'powered' by booster carts. I have yet to place and test the boosters, but I haveseveral booster location already built.
If I recall correctly, the tracks the MercFox setup on the build MercFox server were powered by powered carts.
The tracks that you have don't seem to have boosters, so I'm not sure how we should do the transition. We could just connect the tracks, but it may be better to have a station and have the rider switch carts / tracks -

Did you try this fix?
http://getsatisfaction.com/mojang/topics/furnaces_are_broken-1lf508
This problem occurs if your furnace is by itself or next to other crafted blocks. If you put it with non-craftable blocks (dirt, cobblestone) to both sides and behind it, then it will not rotate. The rotating seems to be what makes you lose your stuff.
However, if you disconnect while you have stuff in it, it'll still sometimes eat your stuff. Putting a torch down directly in front of the furnace will cause the stuff to re-appear inside.
