HLOLY FUCKING SHIT OH MY GOD EDITION
MULTIPLAYER HITS TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY
http://notch.tumblr.com/post/883733186/fyi-my-schedule-for-the-next-month
"Next week:
Tuesday or Wednesday: A first, very rough, version of Survival Multiplayer"
Why This is a Big Deal:
If you’ve bought the game:
IT IS MULTIPLAYER AND IT IS HAPPENING OH HOLY SHIT
If you haven’t bought the game:
The release of Multiplayer marks the end of Alpha, which currently has the game discounted to 9.95 euros. When Beta hits, the game will go up in cost to about 15 euros, so if you’re on the fence about buying it, you may want to PULL THE TRIGGER before the end of the weekend!

Things I wish I'd known (AKA: Things that should be on a pop-up window as soon as you start the game for the first time)
1) Blackcat9's post: http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?id=23588719
2) When you are creating (via crafting) things that stack, you can keep clicking on the result and it'll add it to the stack on your cursor
3) Coal into furnace (yea, seems obvious, but the lack of tooltips makes it a little less so than it could be)
4) Build your home base within sight of the respawn point. Put a big box in there, and keep a stack of coal, wood, stone, leather, food, etc. You'll need it at some point
5) When you die, your stuff drops to the ground Diablo-style. BUT:
6) IT DOESN'T STAY ON THE GROUND FOREVER.
