Good morning Shacknews, let's do this. So more info on Battlefield Heroes is coming out, and I must admit to being pretty psyched. I think regardless of how it plays out, it's great to see someone like EA experimenting with non-traditional games. Care to join the discussion?

So apparently there's a thing about voting in the US today? I'm sure there will be plenty of political discussion, so please do your best to keep it on the respectful side. Personally, I'm voting for Stewart/Colbert again. Or maybe Gloval/Hayes. I hear they're running on an ARMD platform!

  i don't wtf is with my Mic. It works fine (although very quiet) in sndrec32 but in TF2 apparently its loud as hell. If I try and do the sound test in game I just get insane feedback even with my speakers turned way down.

      I've not changed anything so far as I know. I wonder if I have borked my mic.
      
      I think I'm going to get a USB one. I had one before that worked a lot better than this POS but I apparently left it behind when I moved house 6months ago.

        I agree with post below! Saying that I developed bad voice comms on TFC ages ago for no reason, no hardware or drivers updates... just band crackle crackles ALLLLLLRRRRIIIIGHT THERE ARRRRH KID.

    turn off the mic boost in the windows volume thing. I have to do this too, and it's just for Source games.

      if you don't know what I mean, double click on the speaker icon in your system tray, then click "Options" then "Properties." Click on "Recording" and click OK. Then find your mic, click the advanced button, and uncheck the Microphone Boost box.
