And yet it's still a far better game than that crap-fest, ET:QW. Go figure.

I've never played BF2142 but I really like ETQW. I also enjoy the irony of people going out of their way to bash ETQW, like you.

The irony is in the fact that you've either moved on or gone back to "better games" like COD4 or BF2142 but continue to talk down on QW in order to validate to yourself. If you inequivocally believed that your preferred game was "better" then you wouldn't need to, as the game would speak for itself.

It's a lot like the PS3 owner that talks trash about the X360 constantly. That person is just feeding the idea that their product is truly superior in order to justify that their $600 USD was well spent. In actuality, they may be feeling insecure or regret from the competition that the X360 represents.

They're both good games. I would hardly call ET:QW a crapfest.

Seems like a good change of pace that DICE would be really thorough with their testing. BF has had some rough launches and bugs. I think this is a good sign. Such a good's a shame to see a few nasty bugs hurt the experience.

My thoughts exactly. I cannot speak for BF2142 because I never played it, but I still play BF2 regularly since day one. I mean, the bugs are mind-boggling but I can't get enough of it!

You should really try 2142. I loved 2, but 2142 fixes so many design/balance issues. It's such a solid, fun game. Should be really cheap now too.

The v1.41 patch for BF2 pretty much fixed everything with BF2. The only problem for me still is the server browser.
