Salt & Sacrifice revealed during Summer Game Fest 2021

The sequel to Salt and Sanctuary has been announced for 2022.

The Summer Game Fest 2021 Kickoff livestream featured announcements spanning just about all reaches of the video game world. There were surprise guests, secret reveals, and more. Developer Shuhei Yoshida appeared at Summer Game Fest 2021 in order to announce Salt and Sacrifice, which will launch in 2022.

We got a surprise announcement trailer for Salt and Sacrifice during Summer Game Fest 2021. The game will be released in 2022 exclusively for PS4 and PS5. Following the announcement, James Silva of developer Ska Studios took to the PlayStation website to share more details about Salt and Sacrifice in a blog post.

“Salt and Sacrifice expands on the world of Salt and Sanctuary by exploring a new era and region, as well as a new role: a Marked Inquisitor. A Marked Inquisitor is a criminal condemned, yet spared the hand of justice in exchange for a lifetime of service in the unending war against Mages: twisted, irredeemable creatures of elemental malice.”
