Paradox Interactive just announced Surviving the Aftermath, the next entry in the Surviving series, will launch in 2020 on Epic Games Store, Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. Players eager to try the game out sooner will be able to purchase it on Epic Games Store Early Access and Xbox Game Preview later this year. Paradox promises to give us more details at PDXCON 19 in Berlin later this month, but they did post this new teaser video. Please take a look at the first look at Surviving the Aftermath.

“With the staggering growth of Surviving Mars this year we knew we had something special and we wanted to find new ways to utilize survival management gameplay,” Nikhat Ali, Lead Producer on Surviving the Aftermath and Surviving Mars at Paradox Interactive, said. “Surviving the Aftermath gives us the opportunity to experiment with these mechanics in new and interesting ways that we think our players will love.”

Paradox announced that Surviving Mars' latest Green Planet expansion has lead the game to record growth since its launch in May of 2019. Monthly active players are up 19% from the launch month peak. That wasn't all of the Surviving Mars news, either. Paradox announced that they are bringing the game and all its DLC to the Epic Games Store. "Kicking off as part of Epic’s Free Games Program, the Surviving Mars base game and Space Race DLC will be free to download from Thursday, October 10-17. After the free period, the game will be available to purchase for $29.99."
