In fact, several players have already reported an issue with Breakpoint not having any audio when they launch it. If you're one of the unfortunate souls currently experiencing the no audio bug in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, then not all hope is lost. In this guide, we'll tell you a couple of resolutions, which should help you fix the issue quickly.

How to fix the no audio bug in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Not having any game audio is extremely detrimental, especially in a game like Ghost Recon Breakpoint, where hearing your enemies is vital to staying hidden during infiltration missions. Not only that, but Breakpoint has some very solid sound design, and players aren't going to want to miss out on that. If you're experiencing issues with Ghost Recon Breakpoint not having audio then we can help.

You'll need to be able to hear your enemies coming for maximum tactical awareness in Breakpoint.

First, you're going to want to knock out the easy steps. Make sure your sound settings are correct if you're playing on PC. If you're playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, then check to verify that any cables running from your console to the TV are correctly set and that any headphones you might be using are completely plugged in.

Next, you're going to want to ensure that the volume levels in the game are set correctly. Sometimes games can choose weird settings when you boot them for the first time, so just head into your settings and verify that everything is turned up where you want it. If everything is set correctly, then it's time to move on to the next option.

If you're playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, try restarting the application a few times. This can often cause it to open files correctly that might not have opened up originally. If all else fails, then the only other option for console users is to try a fresh install. This, of course, is the last resort, as it means downloading all of the game's content to your console once more.

For PC players, though, there is another option before you jump to reinstalling completely. Head to the game files folder in your Program Files folder (or wherever you installed Ghost Recon Breakpoint). Once here, located the sounddata folder and then delete it. Head into Uplay and verify your game files. This will cause it to download the sound files again, which can help if some of your files got corrupted during the installation process.

The next thing you'll want to do on PC is make sure that Windows Spatial Sound setting is turned off. This option appears to cause multiple sound-related issues with newer games, and turning it off can often take care of any problems you might have been experiencing. Finally, if all else fails, reinstall the game to replace any corrupted files.

If none of these solutions work, then, unfortunately, the only other option is to reach out to Ubisoft support yourself. Sadly, problems like this are a dime a dozen in newer video releases, especially in a word where audio technology can differ so much based on each person's computer.
