Xbox Games with Gold October includes Friday the 13th: The Game, Ninja Gaiden 3

The latest crop of Xbox Games with Gold for October have been announced.

Microsoft has announced the October lineup of Games with Gold titles for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

This month, players can expect four different titles to come down the pipeline, beginning October 1 and running through November 15 for certain games, as announced via the official Xbox blog

Starting October 1 and lasting through the whole month, Games with Gold will feature the Xbox One title Tembo the Badass Elephant, a platformer that's normally $14.99. It will be up for grabs until November 1, so you have plenty of time to make it yours should you want to add it to your collection.

From October 1 through October 15, you can get the licensed Disney Bolt for Xbox 360 (all games in the promotion are backward compatible, of course, with Xbox One). It's a surprisingly entertaining movie game that's normally $19.99, and now can be yours for the low price of free.

From October 16 through October 31, you can get Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, an Xbox 260 title. Chock full of punishing action stages that put you in the shoes of Ryu Hayabusa, it's a hack-and-slash that any fans of the genre would love to play through.

Finally, from October 16 through November 15, Friday the 13th: The Game is up for grabs, which is normally $19.99. So this month's selection of games is oddly not very spooky (save for Friday the 13th) but it's still four more games you probably didn't have and 4000 points of Gamerscore, if that means anything to you.

Be sure to catch the previous month's Xbox Games with Gold while you still can, and let us know if you'll be snagging any of this crop when they land.
