Hitman 2 DLC Haven Island tropical paradise drops next week

It's not technically a vacation for Agent 47, but it looks like an idyllic spot for one.

The latest DLC location for Hitman 2 is on its way, and this one looks decidedly more relaxing than the rest.

You can jump into Haven Island starting next week when it debuts for Expansion Pass and Gold Edition owners, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive announced. Agent 47 will travel to the tropical paradise of the Maldives, and visit the headquarters of a small corporation called Haven there.

The new DLC will include new animations, gameplay items, kill methods, and disguises that are unique to Haven Island: the location of the Maldives, the Campaign mission The Last Resort, 75 new Challenges, 20 levels of Location mastery, seven new trophies and achievements, and plenty of other new content to wade through as you guide 47 through another successful mission. If you've been waiting for the next massive chunk of Hitman gameplay to check out, this is it.

Previously, Kevin Tucker reviewed Hitman 2 at Shacknews, awarding it a 9 out of 10. Here's what he had to say about it:

"Modern-era action gamers have been conditioned to expect large-scale firefights, flashy explosions, and immediate gratification in general, and that's just not what IO Interactive's latest release is about. Through all of the complex machinations and staggering amount of opportunities within its levels, Hitman 2 manages to be a game with one surprisingly simple demand: think things through. As it is in life, perception and consideration go a very long way here, and players who are willing to put in the proper amount of time and effort will see just how perplexing, engaging, and rewarding stealth action games can be."

Hitman 2 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can pick up the new Haven Island DLC on September 24.
