What to do with Glowing Rods in Remnant: From the Ashes

Learn where to find more Glowing Rods and what to do with them while on Rhom in Remnant: From the Ashes.

Glowing rods are yet another mystery in Remnant: From the Ashes. These rods are scattered around Rhom and finding them is important, especially if you want to uncover all the game’s secrets. But with not a lot of direction, it can be tough to know what to do with the glowing rods once you’ve found them.

What to do with glowing rods

The glowing rods are used to unlock the Akari armor found behind these three doors at the end of a dungeon.

The glowing rods in Remnant: From the Ashes are used to unlock the Akari armor set. This set of armor is found at the very end of one of the dungeons. For me, the dungeon was at the northern-most part of the map, but for you it may be different.

Fight through the dungeon to the end to find three pedestals and three doors. A glowing rod can only be used to open a single door, so you will need to find all three if you want the full set of armor. From left to right, the rooms contain the helmet, chest piece, and boots.

Where to find glowing rods

The three glowing rods are found in Rhom's dungeons, cirlced on the map. You will need to pass through one dungeon to reach another main area that contains the third rod, not shown above.

There are three glowing rods to find on Rhom, the second world you encounter in Remnant: From the Ashes. Because Remnant’s worlds are dynamically generated, the location of the rods will be slightly different.

In saying this, the glowing rods should all be found in a similar place: Rhom’s dungeons. Each of these dungeons is located on the edges of the main world. There may be some instances, depending on your generated world, where the dungeons are found in other side areas. These side areas are typically accessed via one of the dungeons.

Take the time to thoroughly search each of the dungeons in Rhom. The rods should be easy enough to spot, as they glow a vibrant orange. It’s extremely important you go through every available dungeon until you find it. Do not leave any dungeon unsearched. This is also important if you want to unlock the Beam Rifle.
