            I haven't had time to dig in what they are trying to shake up - but that said, as Amplitude's past 4X games tend to focus on a more detailed strategy approach, this could be interesting. Will be digging in more shortly...

            Big selling point appears to be full tactical battles (that if, if you have been playing Age of Wonders, something like that for unit-vs-unit combat). But unlike Age of Wonders, where the overworld is still more about territory control and resource management, the top level of humankind *is* that 4X game like Civ.
