Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has console players wondering if it'll release on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is scheduled to release for PC on August 27, 2019 via the Epic Games Store. Good news, console owners. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be releasing on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in December 2019. Yes, PC players will get the jump on things with the Epic Games Store release on August 27, 2019, but rest assured the title will land on Microsoft and Sony’s console platforms later this year. While there isn’t a specific release date, it figures to be somewhere close to the holidays, so maybe you’ll even have some time off to spend the 40 to 50 hours required for the full gameplay experience.

PC players that prefer the Steam platform over the Epic Games Store are in for more of a wait. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is not scheduled to hit Steam until 2020 according to the game page.

At Shacknews, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has been on our radar for a while now. Not long ago we talked with Patrice Désilets, Creative Director of Panache Digital Games, on our E3 stage. Anyone with even a little interest in this title should watch it, as Patrice Désilets gives in-depth explanations of design choices and what to expect.

While Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey won’t hit the PS4 or Xbox One until December 2019, we’ll be all over the game leading up to its PC release on the Epic Games Store on August 27, 2019.
