EVO Japan 2020 January dates revealed for Tokyo event

Here's when you can expect to see next year's EVO event in Tokyo.

Not ready to see this year's EVO over with? Good news for you – EVO Japan has just announced the dates for next year, so you can go ahead and start planning to attend now.

EVO Japan 2020 will run from January 24 through January 26 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, according to the Evolution Championship Series' official announcement. Alongside an official teaser trailer, a few games were confirmed to be a part of the festivities: BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Soulcalibur VI, and Tekken 7.

EVO Japan 2019 was held in Fukuoka, Japan in February earlier this year, and had a lineup that included the following: Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, King of Fighters XIV, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Soulcalibur VI, and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.

There aren't many details floating around at the moment about what to expect from next year's tournament, but you can keep it locked here to Shacknews for any future developments, and we'll keep you abreast of all the latest EVO 2020 information as soon as we hear about it.
