Want the opportunity to get into The Bard's Tale and Wasteland? Games from both series will be making their way to Xbox and PC very soon.

The team at inXile Entertainment have announced that they will be bringing both The Bard's Tale Trilogy and Wasteland 30th Anniversary Edition to both Xbox One and PC in 2019. The Bard's Tale Trilogy will debut on August 13, where Wasteland 30th Anniversary Edition will debut in Q4 2019.

The Bard's Tale Trilogy set includes all the original The Bard's Tale games, including Tales of the Unknown, which is available at launch. Both The Destiny Knight and Thief of Fate will be heading to retail later this year. You don't need to worry about emulating the games or doing anything potentially frustrating with your computer to get them to run, either – just the games and the desire to experience an awesome set of games with some pretty compelling dungeon crawling elements.

“It's pretty special to be able to bring back the classic Bard's Tale games and original Wasteland, which helped to inspire the Fallout series. This was an opportunity that came about thanks to our new partnership with Microsoft, and it’ll be wonderful nostalgia for the people who grew up with these games, and a peek into the history of the early RPG genre for a brand new audience,” said Brian Fargo, founder, inXile entertainment.

Wasteland 30th Anniversary Edition is a remastered edition of the original game that told the origin story of the Desert Rangers. A nuclear holocaust obliterates the American Southwest, and the Desert Rangers are the only real thing standing between total chaos and the end of humanity.

If you've never experienced either series, you've got a lot to look forward to in the coming year. Keep it locked here to Shacknews for all the latest news and updates regarding both games as well.
