Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is adding another playable character to its ranks, and it may not be one you had in mind.

With the game releasing tomorrow, July 19, we don't have much longer to wait until it touches down on Nintendo Switch. But ahead of that, during the Marvel Games panic at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, we were finally given a bit of information about at least one of the characters to be appearing in the upcoming expansion pass.

That appears to be Loki himself, everyone's favorite trickster of a god. He'll be available on day one, and on August 30, he'll be joined by both Colossus and Cyclops from the X-Men as free DLC open to anyone. There are still three character packs coming in the expansion pass, however, and X-Men only comprise the first one. We still don't know who'll appearing in the next packs aside from the Fantastic Four as well as Marvel Knights, which includes the Punisher, Moon Knight, Morbius, and Blade.

We'll keep you apprised of additional Marvel news coming out of SDCC19 as we can, but for now, get ready to download the long-awaited third installment of the popular Marvel-centric RPG tomorrow.

Our own Ozzie Mejia went hands-on with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. Here's what he thought about his time with it:

"As the demo ended, I could only walk away with the sense that I only got the smallest taste of what Ultimate Alliance 3 has to offer. However, the little I saw of it gave me a sense that Nintendo and Team Ninja understand what made the original games so great. If that's the case, it should be refreshing to get to experience some of the best stories that Marvel has to offer with a special team of some of my favorite characters. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on July 19."

Not much longer to wait now!
