Xbox Game Pass July 2019 gets Shadow of War, Undertale & more

Xbox Game Pass owners can look forward to Dead Rising 4, Blazing Chrome, and more this month as well.

Look out, Xbox Game Pass subscribers! This summer's about to get a little hotter. And considering it's been the hottest June on record already, it's time to crank it up a bit for July.

Microsoft has announced a slew of new Xbox Game Pass titles scheduled to debut in July, including a drop of games that you can expect on July 4 (that's tomorrow!):

  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
  • My Time at Portia (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
  • Undertale (Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

Then, on July 11, the following games will be added:

  • Blazing Chrome (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
  • Dead Rising 4 (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
  • LEGO City Undercover (Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
  • Timespinner (Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
  • Unavowed (Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)

Perhaps most importantly for fans, however, is the fact that the new Gears 5 Versus mode is coming out this month as part of the Gears 5 Tech Test. All current Game Pass members will be able to access it without having to plunk down cash for a pre-order. Right now, you can snag a membership for your first month for just $1, if that helps sweeten the deal.

And unfortunately, there are a few games leaving the service as well, which you'll have until the middle of the month and up until the end of it to play before you say goodbye to them:

  • Aftercharge (July 9)
  • Warhammer Vermintide 2 (July 10)
  • LEGO Movie: The Videogame (July 16)
  • Dandara (July 31)
  • Dead Rising 2 (July 31)
  • Hitman Season 1 (July 31)
  • Metal Slug XX (July 31)
  • Defense Grid: The Awakening (July 31)
  • Hexic 2 (July 31)
  • Iron Brigade (July 31)

It's going to be a great month for Xbox Game Pass members, as you can see, so if you're not already on the hype train, you might want to jump aboard, especially for the Gears carnage coming down the line. There's also a ton of prizes up for grabs if you complete the Xbox Game Pass Quests for July, which could net you a trip to Paris for Paris Games Week if you earn as many points as you possibly can. Good luck!
