It's time to duel with the newest version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Shacknews sat down with digital marketing manager Samuel Hsieh as well as producer Charles Murakami to chat about all things Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution before it touches down on Nintendo Switch.

As someone who grew up mostly playing Pokemon and its associated games and TCG, I wasn't always privy to all the Yu-Gi-Oh! lore or rules as far as the games went, so I was interested to try out a game that would let me jump into the game and try it out as a beginner, since I only dabbled in the physical card game a bit.

The game packs 20 years of Yu-Gi-Oh! history into a small, portable package with content from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series through Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V and even up through the current anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. The game will feature over 9,000 cards you can build your favorite decks with, so you should have plenty of options in that respect.

During our interview, both Hsieh and Murakami made it quite clear that the game is great even for beginners or those who haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh! or even watched it in a while, like yours truly.

Be sure to check out the full interview for more insights into what the game will offer for more hardcore fans as well. And for more developer interviews and gameplay footage videos straight from the E3 2019 showroom floor, be sure to follow Shacknews and GamerHubTV over on Twitter.
