Ubisoft recently announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise would be receiving a new installment in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The cinematic trailers revealed actor John Bernthal will be playing a central character in the tactical shooter. During their Keynote, John Bernthal himself took the stage to reveal new information about the game.
The co-operative aspect on Ghost Recon: Breakpoint was a key focus when designing the game. Friends will be able to seamlessly jump in and out of your game, and vice versa. You can work together to progress through the campaign and complete missions. If you prefer to go through the game solo, a team of AI characters will aid you in your journey. The main antagonist comes in the form of Cole D. Walker. He and his team have access to the top drone technology, and you’re squad is at the top of their hit list.
Some of the biggest news was official confirmation on a beta for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The beta will begin on September 5, with registration available now. The conference also showcased a couple of brand new extended trailers that set the tone for Breakpoints atmosphere and tone. Like with Wildlands, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will have a strong emphasis on the team dynamic, whether you’re playing with friends or NPC’s.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is set to release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 4. For more from Ubisoft’s press conference, check out our E3 2019 hub for the latest breaking news from the show.
