Just in case you might have forgotten, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still a thing. It's actually happening!
If you can't wait to hear more about the game, worry not! There's a new livestream on the way ahead of E3 2019, and some sizzling new details should drop then about what to expect from it when it finally does debut.
The latest Space Monkey Report livestream is scheduled for June 5 at 12 PM ET (6 PM CEST, Paris time). It'll be streamed via Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook for your streaming pleasure. Beyond Good and Evil 2 is a prequel that will explore the past of Jade, the first game's lead character, and show how the dangerous world she explored came to be. It's also a much larger game in scope than its predecessor, which many fans will be absolutely thrilled about.
Unfortunately, this livestream also means that the team behind Beyond Good and Evil 2 will not be attending E3 this year.
"We will, however, continue our commitment to the Space Monkey Program and keep you updated on the game’s development and how we’re building the world of Beyond Good and Evil 2," the official announcement for the livestream reads.
"We look forward to sharing more with you, including new gameplay footage, when the time is right. If you missed Space Monkey Report #4, including a pre-alpha commented demo walkthrough of BGE2, now’s your chance to catch up before the next livestream."
Unfortunately, if you're attending E3 2019 this year, that means you won't get any hands-on time or even face time with what's morphed into one of the most hotly-anticipated sequels on the horizon, but best to be patient. It looks like development is likely coming along swimmingly, and the team is ready to show us some exciting things in the near future.
