Known for their work on The Legend of Grimrock, developer Ctrl Alt Ninja Ltd. is ready to transport fantasy lovers to a brand-new universe in Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest. Available now on PC, the tactical, turn-based RPG is already garnering some good reviews from players who have checked it out since its release earlier today.

The world of Druidstone is chock full of lush forests and various structures like standing stones. Snow-topped mountains line the landmass, and deadly creatures await players as they explore puzzle-ridden ruins. According to the Steam page:

“Evil is afoot in Menhir Forest. The druids, the caretakers of the woods, are troubled: their archdruid has disappeared under deeply suspicious circumstances, and a cancerous growth of purple cysts is spreading, carrying corruption and sickness wherever they appear. It takes a special kind of hero to save the day. Or maybe more than one.”

While Druidstone definitely sounds interesting, players looking to learn more about it can check out the Steam reviews. Some of them make some good points about the game and offer some helpful insight into what you can expect if you’re diving in. Legend of Grimrock was a fantastic little dungeon explorer when I played it a few years back, so I’m definitely intrigued to see what Druidstone has to offer me as a lover of fantasy games, especially strong story-driven RPGs.

Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest is out now on Steam and can be purchased for $23.74 until May 22. After May 22, the game’s price will go up to its regular cost of $24.99.
