Niantic Labs has done a great job of offering support for their hit mobile game, Pokemon Go. If you’re a fan of the mobile Pokemon game, then now is your chance to score some sweet new gear in a special crossover event featuring Detective Pikachu. The upcoming Pokesleuth movie is set to debut in theaters later this month, and fans will have a chance to earn some special Detective Pikachu inspired gear in Pokemon Go starting on May 7.

The event is set to kick off around 1PM on May 7 and will run until 1PM on May 17 (all times PDT). Throughout the event players will be able to earn double XP for catching Pokemon, as well as find specially themed Field Research. There will also be a series of new Detective Pikachu themed avatar items—like hats, shirts, and other gear—available in the Style Shop.

Big features for the Detective Pikachu crossover event include the appearance of select Pokemon from the movie appearing in raids. Pokemon Go players will also have a chance to find more of the Pokemon from the movie out in the wild, where they’ll appear more frequently than usual. Finally, if players are lucky, then could even be photobombed by a Pikachu wearing a detective hat—just like in the movie. Perhaps the biggest thing to look forward to, though, is the fact that players will have a very limited chance to catch their own Detective Pikachu during the event!

Players will only have ten days to take part in the Pokemon Go and Detective Pikachu crossover event, which means they will want to dedicate as much time as possible to catching that elusive Pikachu in a detective hat.
