Looking forward to seeing Detective Pikachu? If you're not, that might change after this particularly adorable trailer.

In the latest clip from Detective Pikachu, we see a wonderful world of Pokemon set to Louis Armstrong's seminal classic "What A Wonderful World." It may be one of the most heartwarming things we've seen to come out of the movie's marketing machine thus far. Believe us when we say that this set of CG Pokemon may very well make you cry right here at your computer, because it's just that pure.

The video shows off a wide variety of Pokemon enjoying their lives, being free, and flitting about the world, localized in the movie's setting of Ryme City. If you've got a favorite, chances are you'll see it in this trailer – or a quick glimpse, at the very least. There's also an extremely adorable and tender hug between Psyduck and Pikachu. Now you've never seen that in the anime series, have you?

Ready to go see the movie? Technically, its official title is Pokemon Detective Pikachu, and it takes place in a world where Pokemon exist with humans as 21-year-old Tim Goodman attempts to get to the bottom of where his private eye father Harry Goodman has gone missing. It's based on the Detective Pikachu game of the same name for Nintendo 3DS. Tim has no idea where to start when it comes to tracking down his dad. Luckily, he's got Detective Pikachu at his side to figure it all out. It appears this Pikachu is special, though, because he can talk. Unfortunately, Tim is the only one who can understand him.

There's a ton of Pokemon in the movie as the trailer above reveals, each rendered in a more "realistic" style. You'll see plenty of the 'mons in the new trailer, but we've also seen a whole lot in previous videos too, like Jigglypuff, Pancham, Charizard, Mewtwo, and a whole lot more.

Not much longer to wait until Detective Pikachu hits theaters now. In the meantime, while you're waiting for May 17 to roll around, be sure to check out our trailer breakdown
