Panthers reveal 2019 NFL schedule with fun video game medley

All thirty-two NFL teams announced their schedules this week, but the Carolina Panthers' video game trailer was pretty darn great.

The NFL 2019 regular season schedule has been announced and all of the thirty-two teams in the league have been sharing the news with their fans. The Carolina Panthers had a particularly great video game montage featuring seventeen games for each week of the season. It's very well produced, and contains some great references. Please take a look.

The trailer starts out with a nod to the good old Sega Genesis start up screen. Game franchises featured in video include California Games, Pitfall, Cruis'n USA, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Madden NFL, FIFA, Halo, Oregon Trail, NBA Jam, WWE, Pokemon Go, GoldenEye 007, Mario Kart, PAC-MAN, Sonic the Hedgehog, Words with Friends, and Mortal Kombat. It was particularly funny to see PAC-CAM in a fedora. The use of the Halo theme for the bye week was also pretty hilarious. The video definitely throws more shade at the Panther's NFC South division rivals with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints all featured twice. We'll see how kindly the Falcons take to being compared to PAC-MAN ghosts later this year in Week 14.

Pokemon Go was one of the games that got a Panthers shout out.

While this is a great social media win for the Panthers, it remains to be seen if they can return to the Super Bowl. There are clearly some better teams out there (like the Cleveland Browns), but we tip our fedoras to the Carolina Panthers social media team for whipping together such a great video.

Which game references in the video did you like the most? Do you think the Panthers will ever put a decent offensive line together for their quarterback Cam Newton? Should any of the other thirty-one teams bother competing with America's team (the Cleveland Browns) this year? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
