Earnings season is almost here. Pull out your calendar and mark down the earnings dates of these important gaming and tech companies.

Earnings release season is upon us, and Shacknews has compiled a list of important video game and tech companies to pay attention to in the next few weeks. Apple, Google, Microsoft, Nintendo, Facebook, and many more companies are set to report their financial results.

You will see an Investor Relations link under each company's name. That is the best place to find the earnings release of your stock on the day of their earnings release. It is important for investors to understand that a company may report great results and still have their stock drop on the news. This is largely due to expectations of the stock being higher than the results. A useful place to look up your company's earnings expectations is EarningsWhispers.com. As always, I highly recommend Investopedia to anyone with questions regarding fundamental analysis.

Do we get to learn how much revenue Anthem brought in at the EA earnings report? Or are all the games just lumped in together?

It's usually just net earnings. I believe they only call out a specific game if it did really well.

If a company is making a game, and let's say for ease-of-math's sake the game took 4 years to make, and cost $10 million per year, do they report the cost as $40 million in the fiscal year that the game came out? Or do they only report a cost of the $10million it cost them that year because they already reported the previous amounts?

I might dump EA depending on how the report looks. Activision Blizzard continues to do well for me :D
