Oxenfree is now free via the Epic Games Store

Grab Oxenfree for, well, free via the Epic Games Store now so you can add another great game to your collection.

Looking for a new game to add to your Epic Games Store collection? We've got your back.

We suggest Oxenfree, the latest title to enter the platform's "free games" rotation. It's currently up for grabs for anyone with an Epic Games Store account, and you can start playing it today. Just what you needed, another game to add to your backlog, right? We feel your pain, trust us.

Night School Studios' supernatural thriller follows some friends as they go in for a weekend party on a remote island. Too bad there's all sorts of weird stuff happening there, which you could probably discern from the slightly creepy art style and lighting.

Oxenfree will be free beginning March 21 (that's today!) and running through Thursday, April 4. So if you want to make it yours, you'd better hurry up and do so, because you wouldn't want to miss out!

The Epic Games Store has been offering freebies for a while now, much like Discord and Steam have. Previously, the colorful Slime Rancher and Metroidvania offering Axiom Verge were both given out for free, both excellent titles that are even better when you don't have to pay for them.

The Epic Games Store is continuing to grow, and in fact we just learned of a selection of new titles poised to hit the platform at a later date, including the upcoming Afterparty, also from Night School Studios.

  • Afterparty from Night School Studios
  • Control from Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games
  • The Cycle from YAGER
  • Dauntless from Phoenix Labs
  • Industries of Titan from Brace Yourself Games
  • Journey to the Savage Planet from Typhoon Studios and 505 Games
  • Kine from Chump Squad
  • Phoenix Point from Snapshot Games
  • The Sinking City from Frogwares and Bigben
  • Spellbreak from Proletariat Inc
  • Solar Ash from Heart Machine and Annapurna Interactive

Indeed, it looks like it's only up from here for the platform as it continues to offer a variety of new and exciting titles. We'll keep you posted on everything coming on down the pipeline, because this is a pretty exciting time for those looking for additional digital purchase options.
