Leveling up is an important point of progression in Anthem as your level directly affects how strong you are, how strong your weapons are, and even what kind of power-ups you have available to you at any given time. Your level also affects how many Javelins you can own, which means players will want to learn how to level up quickly as soon as possible.
How to Level Up Quickly in Anthem
There are a number of things you can do to earn experience in Anthem, which means players will have quite a variety of options to help them level up and progress through the game. We’ve taken the liberty of outlining these options below, that way you can learn everything you need to know to level up quickly as you explore the world of Bastion.
Complete Main Story Missions
There are a ton of main story missions for players to complete in Anthem, and they are just one of the best ways to earn experience. Completing story missions will let you learn more about Bastion, the Cenotaph, and the various characters in your story. You’ll also unlock various weapons, new gear for your Javelin, and earn experience that will help you level up. There are more than enough story missions to keep you busy for a while, so make sure you’re playing through them to progress through the story and level up.
One of a Freelancers main jobs is to complete different contracts and thankfully, the people of Fort Tarsis are in need of a lot of help. You can find contracts in a lot of different places. One of the best places to look is the bulletin board near Yarrow. You can also speak with people throughout Fort Tarsis to learn about more contracts, which you can accept or ignore to your heart’s content. Contracts are basically side missions, which will reward you with experience, new weapons and new gear.
Hop into Freeplay
Freeplay is essentially freeroam in Anthem and hopping into this mode will allow you to explore Bastion and gather various resources for crafting. You’ll also be able to complete a series of different events, all while playing alongside others in the world. It’s a great way to rack up some experience and unlock new items without having to worry about cutscenes, story dialogue and the other bits that sometimes can get in the way of a good level grind.
To keep leveling up in Anthem, just stay busy. There are tons of things to do in the world and you should never stand still for too long.
