How to redeem your friend code for The Division 2

Been invited to the private beta for The Division 2 by a friend, but aren't sure how to redeem the invite? Here's what you need to do.

The Division 2’s private beta is underway, giving players a full weekend to dive in and experience a small piece of the content that Washington D.C. has to offer Agents. If you’re looking forward to playing the game, but didn’t receive an invite from the developers, then there are some other ways you can join in. Most notably, people that were invited have access to three “friend codes”, which they can send out to any friends they have on Uplay. Today we’ll go over how to redeem these friend codes, as many have reported issues finding out where the code goes, and how to get the game in their library.

How to Redeem Your Friend Invite in The Division 2

If your friend has invited you to play in The Division 2 private beta, then there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, if you don’t have Ubisoft emails turned on in your settings, then you’re not going to receive any kind of email correspondence about it. Instead, you’ll need to be told by your friend that they have invited you.

Players can redeem their friend invite on the beta sign-up page.

Once you know you have been invited, though, you will need to visit the beta sign-up page for The Division 2. When you’re there, go ahead and log into your Uplay account. This should make the invite show up for you. Unfortunately, it seems like there are some issues with the system right now, and if you have multiple platforms connected to your Uplay account, then you may end up with the code redeemed for beta access on any of those platforms (we’ve seen some reports of this, and even had someone on staff experience this issue themselves). We’ll be sure to update with more information on that matter if we discover a solution.

For now, you can accept your invite and once you’ve acquired the game, download it on the platform that you were given access on. You can also check out our other The Division 2 guides if you need additional help with the game.
