Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal now available on PC & PS4

The game's launch was delayed as the team attempted to make Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal's Intimacy Mode fit Sony's criteria.

After having to overcome some speed bumps regarding the PS4 version of the game, XSEED and Tamsoft can finally celebrate the launch of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal on PC and PS4. Both versions are live now and PS4 players can also grab a few limited editions.

Senran Kagura Burst: Re:Newal is the modern remake of the first game in the series released in the west. In addition to the standard editions on PS4 and PC, PS4 players can get the Tailor Made edition digitally or physically and the At The Seams edition physically. Tailor-Made features fan-focused content and At The Seams adds six "Busty Besties" character straps on display stands for all the items featured in the Tailor Made edition. For the first four weeks after launch, owners of every edition of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal will get the Cutie Melon and Cutie Peach DLC costumes for free.

“I’m very excited for players in the West to have the chance to revisit the story that started it all,” said Senran Kagura series producer Kenichiro Takaki in the press release for the launch. “We worked hard to stay truthful to the original release while taking advantage of all the improvements of the more powerful hardware to enhance the games features and assets, and I hope players enjoy the renewed experience!”

Previously, Sony halted the release of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal due to the inclusion of an "Intimacy Mode" that allows players to spray and grope girls. Previous titles featured the mode, but a new stance forced the developers to head back to the drawing boards and modify the PS4 version. The Steam version of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal has the mode fully intact for those interested in checking it out.
