X018 was home to a ton of top quality announces for Xbox One and PC players. Forza Horizon 4, one of the best releases of the year, wasn't spared a dose of Microsoft's love during the event and will be getting its first expansion before the year closes. The new DLC takes Forza Horizon 4 drivers to Fortune Island and will include extreme weather conditions when it releases December 13, 2018.

Fortune Island, as revealed during the X018 event, features new racing experiences set in the remote northern reaches of the British Isles. Lightning storms, dangerous cliffside dirt roads, and sweeping paved mountain switchbacks are just a few of the things drivers will have to survive in the new DLC. This expansion will be a part of the $34.99 Forza Horizon 4 Expansions Bundle or available for individual purchase. If you own the Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4 or the Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle, Fortune Island will come to you free of charge.

The Forza Horizon 4 Expansions Bundle nets players two expansions, of which Fortune Island is the first, for a discounted price. Xbox Game Pass users get an even better deal, with the Bundle costing $31.49 for subscribers.  Game Pass users will also get 10% off the individual Fortune Island expansion.

Drivers also have five new cars to look forward to and they'll start to roll out this month. Ken Block's high-powered, custom-built Ford vehicles from GymkhanaTEN are on the way and a few will be available for Car Pass members first. The 1977 Ford GymkhanaTEN, F-150 Hoonitruck and the 1993 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A come to Car Pass members soon. All players will get the 1965 Ford Hoonicorn Mustang V2 and the 2017 Ford Fiesta RS later in November. The 2016 Ford GymkhanaTEN Focus RS RX arrives in December.

Forza Horizon 4 is available for $59.99 individually or can be played with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. 14-day free trials for the service are currently available for new users. Check out our full Forza Horizon 4 review and stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
