The Elder Scrolls Online's Witches Festival returns with 100% XP buffs, undead transformations

Double, double, toil and trouble.

The Elder Scrolls Online's annual Witches Festival has returned once more to bring spooky tricks and treats to the world of Tamriel. During the celebration, which kicks off on October 18 at 10:00 AM ET, players get a 100% XP buff, transform into a member of the undead, and get a collection of special festival-themed items that fit right in with the season. It's Halloween, after all!

To take part in the event, you need to grab the "Crow Caller" item in The Elder Scrolls Online's Holiday section of the Crown Store, and then complete the quest "The Witchmother's Bargain." In exchange, you'll get the Witchmother's Whistle item. If you've already done this, you can skip these steps and just use the whistle to summon the Witchmother's Cauldron, which will grant you and anyone in your party a 100% XP buff for two hours, and it'll even stack with other bonuses you have going on at the moment.

You can also use the Cauldron to transform into an undead creature, which isn't a permanent change, but a fun one. From there, you can head out and complete activities to grab more Witches Festival loot, such as pieces of the new Apple-Bobbing Cauldron memento, a Runebox with special masks, furniture, Alchemy reagents, and more. You can also earn new Dremore Plunder Skulls with lots of fun items within.

Check out the official Elder Scrolls Online Witches Festival event page for everything happening in-game for the season, and make sure you get in line with all the festivities before they go "poof" on November 1 at 10:00 AM ET.
