Get ready to blow some walkers away with friends.

If the recent Telltale Games news left you cold and looking for your Walking Dead fix elsewhere, you'll be pleased to know that the upcoming Overkill's The Walking Dead is about to enter its closed beta phase. That means you'll be able to try out the game's first two missions with two camp defense scenarios and a slew of additional stages ahead of the game's official launch in 2019.

If you're interested in seeing what the co-op multiplayer shooter has to offer, you can pre-order the game now for guaranteed beta access via Steam. If you buy the standard version for $59.99, you'll get a single closed beta invite. If you pre-order the deluxe edition, you'll get four closed beta keys so you can share with friends in addition to all the goodies available with the game itself.

Closed beta servers will be going live throughout November in multiple intervals, and there's a set schedule of closed beta dates interested parties can check out to see when it's all going down right here.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is meant for four players to team up and take on various missions while on the hunt for survivors, tasing alive and using stealth to keep enemies at bay and dismembering walkers as they pop up out of nowhere. There are four different characters to play as with their own suite of abilities, roles, play styles, and skill trees to choose from. Make sure you give the game a try before it debuts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 6, 2019 and on PC on November 6.
