The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 creator CD PROJEKT RED has announced a partnership with the Vancouver-based studio Digital Scapes. The amalgamation of both studios is meant to help bolster the development of the upcoming futuristic RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

Digital Scapes is a studio founded by a variety of industry vets hailing from companies like Relic, BioWare, and Radical Entertainment, with team members who worked on Company of Heroes, Dying Light, Prototype, and Warhammer 40,000.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is our most ambitious project to date and we work hard every day to make it a creative and technological achievement. The Digital Scapes team brings aboard a lot of talent, experience and technical knowledge, and I’m very confident our long-term cooperation will add plenty to the game,” said CD PROJEKT RED SVP of Business Development Michał Nowakowski.

The studio will be working closely with CD PROJEKT RED on making and maintaining special tech solutions for use within the development cycle of Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, this doesn't bring us any closer to a release date for the ambitious role-playing game, but at the very least we know the team is getting even more serious about getting it out and into the hands of those of us anxiously awaiting its debut.
