Apple recently shipped their latest flagship iPhones to eager customers and most people are raving about the latest smartphones coming out of Cupertino. Sadly, there appears to be an issue with charging iPhone XS and XS Max models with Lightning Cables while the screen is asleep. Please take a look at this video showcasing how widespread the problem appears to be.

Apple has remained totally silent about the problem as this story has spread across the media landscape over the weekend. Some users have dubbed this new Apple issue, "Chargegate," but it remains to be seen how difficult a fix to this glaring issue will be. Hopefully, Apple can update iOS 12 with a patch that fixes this seemingly simple feature. In the meantime, iPhone XS and XS Max owners should be sure their screen is awake when charging their phones with the Lightning Cable.
