During today's PlayStation Blogcast, episode 308, Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden confirmed the unfortunate news that PlayStation Experience will not be going down in 2018.

The conversation with Shawn Layden in the PlayStation Blogcast starts at around the seven-minute mark, with whole crew initially discussing the year that PlayStation has had, including the recent release of Spider-Man. The PlayStation Experience topic starts at the ten-minute mark. Layden goes over the last four years and how it has brought the company closer to the fans, right before revealing that the event will not be happening in 2018.

"We have a lot of progress that we're making in our games," he starts. "Now that we have Spider-Man out the door, we're looking down into 2019 to games like Dreams and Days Gone. But we wouldn't have enough to bring people all together in some location in North America to have that event."
