When the curse is at its strongest in the Dreaming City, players can access a nightmarish world called the Shattered Throne. The location of the Shattered Throne dungeon isn’t immediately obvious to players who haven’t spent some time exploring, but it is simple enough to find.

It's important to note that the Shattered Throne is only available during the weeks when the curse is at its strongest. To tell when the curse is at its strongest, head to the Dreaming City and look for Taken Blights floating in the air, there will also be black "rain" floating up from the ground.

How to get to the Shattered Throne

The entrance to the Shattered Throne is located in the Confluence, the interconnecting tunnels that run below the Dreaming City. The Confluence is the central chamber that houses a massive portal during the maximum curse week with all other weeks showing just a room full of black goop.

In order to reach the Confluence, and find the Shattered Throne, players will start at the Divalian Mists fast travel point, follow the canyon forward and then left through the blue crystal cave. Taking this route leads to the Spine of Keres, where the Oracle is located.

Jump across the gaps until the first arena is reached, and instead of going straight toward the Oracle and observatory building, hug the left wall to find a bridge leading off to the side. Do not cross the bridge, instead, drop off the right-hand side to find a track leading down into a cave. Go through the portal in the cave to enter the underground labyrinth.

Continue through the twisting hallways to the central chamber, the Confluence. Go straight ahead and into the large open room to spot a gigantic portal, and in front of it, Sedia the Techeun. Speaking with Sedia is entirely optional, though she does offer some interesting dialogue.

Approach the Ascendant portal to find the quest banner for the Shattered Throne dungeon. This is an exceptionally challenging activity, so take some time to assemble a Fireteam and prepare the correct weaponry.
