These birds are angrier than ever.

The Angry Birds are back, and Rovio has a brand new frontier for our stewing feathered friends. This fall, Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot will be flying to the Magic Leap One Creator Edition, thanks to Rovio and Resolution Games. The cool new mixed reality title will see players working with a slingshot to send the birds flying and crashing into stages that are overlaid against real environments.

"“We’re excited to expand the Angry Birds brand and universe to new and emerging platforms like Magic Leap, delivering fans a unique way to engage with their favorite characters. Resolution Games has done an incredible job bringing Angry Birds to life in a new experience that will let players see and feel what it’s like to battle the pigs like never before," said Rovio Entertainment CEO Kati Levoranta.

This is a pretty cool step forward for the birds, though hopefully the game will make its way to other MR devices in the future. Rovio and Resolution Games are expecting a fall 2018 debut for Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot, though the companies have remained mum on any other platforms for the moment. The more ways we can conquer the piggies, the better.
