What's the deal with PSX 2018? Sony has "no news" to share

Who knows if we're going to have one this year? Not Sony.

For five years in a row, Sony has held a special showcase of PlayStation games at its PSX event -- that's PlayStation Experience -- but it looks like this year's may be a bit murky. So far, there hasn't been any sort of announcement about when or if we should expect a new presentation this year.

Fans have taken to asking PlayStation Blog's Sid Shuman on Twitter about the event and if it's actually going to happen. He replied: "No news to share. Hoping to have more insight soon." While this doesn't exactly bode well for fans looking to hear something about a time, date, or even a location, hopefully it doesn't mean that it's just not happening this time around.

So, we're not sure what the deal actually is, but we're hoping to know more as the weeks roll on. The year is quickly nearing its end, and we're halfway through September as it is. Last time, we already knew when to expect PSX all the way back in the summer. Hopefully Sony has some sort of big announcement planned.
