It's that time of year again. SXSW 2019, or South by Southwest, is gearing up for the event in March, and there's already a shortlist of speakers and attendees you can expect to see if you decide to make it out to Austin, Texas for the festivities.

Keynotes for the show include one lead by Instagram CEO and co-founder Kevin Systrom, who will be interviewed by TechCrunch editor-at-large Josh Constine, as well as a keynote conversation between Garbage vocalist Shirley Manson, Chvrches singer-songwriter Lauren Mayberry, and writer and director Marti Noxon.

There's a wide selection of various Featured Speakers at the show, including artist and musician Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, New York Times bestselling author Michael Pollan, theorist and author Douglas Rushkoff, futurist and author Amy Webb, and a wide range of other speakers whose expertise will undoubtedly combine to make SXSW a memorable time for all.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, however. As we get closer to SXSW's official date, there are no doubt plenty more speakers to be announced further down the line. Right now, you can apply to participate in the show yourself, such as the SXSW Film Festival, as well as the Music Festival, which are both accepting entries.

While there isn't really any information available at the moment regarding what kind of gaming spectacles we can expect from SXSW 2019, there should be some juicy gaming events coming down the pipeline at a later date.
