Hyper Light Drifter gets Nintendo Switch release date and exclusive content

The indie hit is joining other popular Nindies with a special edition in September.

Nintendo isn't pulling any punches when it comes to promoting the independently developed games coming to its hybrid console. The gaming giant did a surprise highlight of upcoming Nintendo Switch Nindies last week and streamed another update today. Out of the gate, it was revealed the Kickstarted indie hit Hyper Light Drifter finally has a Nintendo Switch release date: September 6, 2018. The game is available for prepurchase right now and costs $19.99.

The game is remastered for the Switch and includes a handful of new additions. There's a new outfit, the new Crystal Shot and Blade Caster, and a new Tower Climb challenge.
